SUSTAINABILITY
PASSIVE SYSTEMS
We had the assignment to make a project and/or product using four words that were selected for us and had no connection between themselves. This was done to enhance our crativity. The project and/or product had to use passive systems to work and promote water-saving and friendly with the environment.
Words assigned: Pot / Water / Warmth / Condensation
LAPTOP STAND
In this project we had to modify or creat a product, that was thought for IKEA but with an innovative form of junction that could be instroduced to their future products.

BRAND PRODUCT
Investigate a brand and create a product that generated energy just from movement. No batteries nor connections to the electrical current. Creat a mock up of our final product.

VINEYARD KNOTTER
We had to carry out an entire product development, starting off with the market search and end up with a viable product with all the struture calculations, cinematic systems and ergonomics taken into consideration. All the 3D simulations done with a specified program (Pro Engineer).
The project was presented in front of our assignment professor and the company that proposed the project in the first place, Motor Albert. The form of presentation was with a WordPress blog. Pleas do not hesitate to visit our points that were taken into consideration for the development of this product. PRODUCT SYMULATION
Beside these lines you can see our simiulation of the cinematic system and underneath you can see one of our AutoCAD construction plans, this plan is of the base piece of our product.
MEMORY FORM SPRINGS
Creation of a system using intelligent materials, in this case Memory Form Springs.
These shape memory alloys are a new philosophy in engineering and design. These are not improved properties regarding conventional materials, but they are new properties obliging the design process with materials to be modified.
We built a crane using these memory springs, which contract when heat / electrical current is transmited through them.

MATERIAL SELECTION
NEW MATERIAL
Create a new material using whatever our imagination can take in and combine them to make a new revolutionary material.
This material was thought for playschools so kids could run around without getting hurt if they bumped into a wall. Insulation for temperature and acustics were also taken into account, so we accomplished our objective hitting three birds with one stone.

DESIGN FOR HELP
The aim of this project was to design equipment or family of products for the rehabilitation or prevention of people with motor deficient or that may have problems in the future. The requirements were mid-level, to form part of a family of products and a brand, must be designed with ergonomic characteristics and comply with the medical standars.
We had to provide a winning and innovative idea which can be carried out to a physical form with credibility and mechanical foundation. The objective remains concluded upon a careful study of human behaviours in relation to machines.
This project has a particular emphasis on generating a global sense of functionality with styling and play pattern. Other parameters of consideration have been focused on the implementation of state of the art interface design and semiotics through material innovation,.

PRODUCTION OF A NEW PACKAGING
The project was based on the introduction of a new and innovative packaging of any product we chose. I chose to create a new shoe box for an especific type of shoes, making it a limited edition.
